Catherine Karegi

Catherine Karegi is married with five kids. She has two boys and three girls, with three currently in secondary school. Her husband stays in a neighboring town to search for work opportunities, and she feels overwhelmed at the fact that it is solely her responsibility to provide for her kids. The only income she receives to pay for her kids' school, and then food for them to get by comes from basket sales or the occasional farm harvests if successful. 

Catherine says she values this project because it’s encouraged her to come share and relate her stress with the other women has made her feel much happier overall.Catherine wants to tell the buyer of her basket thank you and that she would love to make you another one because of how great it makes her feel that you chose the basket she made.
