Betrace Kanyua

Beatrice grew up in a family of 10 children. She and her sisters did not attend school. She got married at 23 and had four children.

Being a part of the Kiumbe Adult Literacy group has been a blessing. Not only is Beatrice able to learn to read and write but she is also able to make baskets. She feels relieved because she is now able to make an income. The family uses the money to pay for school fees for their youngest child. 

Beatrice loves her work, and dreams of growing her talents and creating more products. What makes her happiest in life is being able to do her work, and become successful.
